Notice of Special General Meeting

12.00pm, Friday, 30 January 2026

Notice is hereby given of a Special General Meeting of the Farm Writers’ Association of NSW Inc to be held virtually via Zoom at 12.00pm on Friday 30 January 2026, for the purpose of passing a special resolution to change the Constitution in order to: 

• change the name of the Organisation to "New South Wales Rural Press Club Incorporated"
• make consequential amendments to the Organisations purpose 
• make amendments to the management of the Organisation's finances
• make additional governance and administrative amendments including changes to officer terms, the timing of the Annual General Meeting and the treatment of special resolutions to align with the Associations Incorporation Act 2009 (NSW).

In accordance with the Associations Incorporation Act 2009 (NSW), three quarters of members present and voting at the meeting are required to support the proposal for it to succeed.
