In his first address to Farm Writers since becoming Managing Director of MLA in 2019, Jason Strong will report on the red meat and livestock industry’s leadership in answering the climate call and delivering real intergenerational sustainability.

Mr Strong will be announcing significant new research and development partnerships in areas such as carbon capture and emissions avoidance, which will accelerate the industry’s progress toward being carbon neutral by 2030.

He’ll also offer unique insights and anecdotes on leading one of Australia’s largest agricultural Research and Development Corporations and how 2021/22 will be a period of transformational change for red meat and livestock producers.

Jason has more than 30 years’ red meat and livestock experience, knowledge and connections from the farm through to the end consumer in both domestic and international markets.

He’s a well-recognised and respected senior executive with extensive skills in commercial and industry business management and administration, supply chain development, meat science and grading, genetics and marketing as well as on-farm experience.
